Little Something for the Folks From Home

Not that you could possibly want to know more about me...

My name is Jessie, and I'm a member of Biglerville High's class of 2003. I currently attend Shippensburg University as a Psychology major.

I live at Ship during the fall and spring semesters, and I live at home in Biglerville with my mom and brother when I'm on break. When I'm not in classes, I'm sittin on my arse because Wal Mart decided it wasn't worth it to keep me on while I'm at college.

I am a memeber of the Shippensburg University Red Raider Marching Band Low Brass Section. I was the only female trombone player last season, but we had three freshman tromboners coming up that are all female, as well as one new trombone guy:-D For more info on the Ship Low Brass, visit http://ship_low_brass.tripod.com For more info on the Ship Red Raider Band, visit http://www.ship.edu/~suband (coming soon) or http://www.ship.edu/~music

I grew up in Baltimore County, MD. I attended Glyndon Elementary, followed by Deer Park Middle Magnet. We moved to Heidlersburg when I was 12, and I attended the second half of my 6th grade year at Biglerville Elementary. I attended Upper Adams Middle School for 7th and 8th grade. I attended the Old Biglerville High School for a year and a half, then helped move to the New Biglerville High School and watched the old school turn into a pile of rubble. I graduated from BHS on June 10th, 2003.

We moved from Heidlersburg to Biglerville in October of '03, and have been here ever since. My little brother still attends BHS, where we were both members of the Low Brass section of the High School band, which made it to ACC's 5 years in a row.

One year down!

At the end of the Marching Band/Football season, the band has a semi-formal dinner and dance at the Orchard in Chambersburg to reward all that crazy hard work. The Low Brass and Percussion sections were awarded the Directors Award for the second year in a row.

This group visited Ship on Tuesday, October 26 and had the entire audience rolling with laughter for an hour and a half with their scary drag, awesome voices, and...interesting...lyrics.
